iYardage – Future IntelliGolf Replacement?

Very cool. Now just need some sort of mechanism to vastly expand the number of supported courses.

The iYardage site does give the option to mark up course images taken from NASA’s World Wind app and submit them as *.png files. It’s a lot of work, and you were probably referring to a handy tool to automatically do this for you, but you only really need to do Avery since 90%+ of your play is there. Those family outings where you have to beat up on Marci’s college playing cousin or whatever just won’t matter…. šŸ˜‰

I didn’t see that before. That may be sufficient as you say. Now that I’ve ordered my iPhone I’ll have to give it a try.

And you can get the Pocket PC version of Intelligolf, but this solution just might be better. At least it graphs out the course layout, so you can see relative distances to hazards graphically. And the screen is much larger.
