My friend Tim has Aperture and really likes it. I’m still at the iPhoto level of managing my photos, but with your camera and photography skills, I can see Aperture being a nice tool for you. Dave2 upgraded to 3.0 and talked about it on Twitter the last couple of days.
And i’m on the iPad want list myself. Most likely getting the 16gb model, although for $200 more, the 64gb quadruples the storage.

martymankins – I replied in Buzz, where your comment also showed up since I linked my blog I guess, but that apparently doesn’t post a comment here.
I’m pretty happy with Aperture 2.0 but was really missing the Faces feature from iPhoto, even though I’ve not used it. I’m over six months behind on processing my personal photos in no small part due to the fact that I need to tag the people. I’m excited about the additional features in Aperture 3.0 as it looks like it will all but eliminate the need for me to use an external editor.
My iPhone has 16GB and I can’t imagine that I’d store any less on the iPad. I want room for more movies if nothing else. I do, however, think 32GB is plenty. The real question is the 3G. One nice thing about that question is, since it’s contract free, you can go ahead and buy the 3G enabled version just to keep your options open in the future. Sure, it’s a wasted $130 if you don’t use it (though you’d probably recoup half that if you decided to resell it later), but that may be better than no getting it and regretting it later. Of course, at that point the price is up to $730 and it seems almost silly not to go ahead and pay the extra 14% for double the memory. 🙂

I don’t want an iPad. I want an iPhone. Once I get the phone then I can say I want an iPad.
I just have to wait until August.

Sarah – I understand that. When I got my iPhone I actually paid the early termination fee to Sprint for my Treo. My rationalization was that it really only came out to $10/month extra (not counting the higher cost of the iPhone plan). Certainly not one of my more frugal moments. Not that buying an iPad is frugal either….
