Veritas. Veritas. Falsitas.

I enjoyed Avitable’s version of this, so I decided to give it a go.

Two of the following statements are true and one is false. Can you identify the falsehood?

  1. I have never played any version of Grand Theft Auto though I have owned a version for several years.
  2. I have an admittedly irrational fear of squirrels, stemming from the aggressive lunch-stealing squirrels on the campus of the University of Texas.
  3. When I was a kid I won money playing ping-pong against other kids at church camp. After returning to my grandparents’ house, I had to return the money.

I could buy into absolutely any of these. They all sound pretty damn good. But if forced to pick, I’m running with #3 because returning that money would be a bitch and an admission to all the other parents what a corrupt kid your parents had. I’m not saying you didn’t do it, just that you didn’t return it. 😉

I say #3 is false… your grandparent’s probably just asked for a cut of the money, not make you return it.

#1! I only say this, because my husband has XBOX stuff that he has never used 😉

kilax – You’re supposed to choose the one that isn’t true. Based on your reasoning, I’m inferring that you did the opposite?

My ascertion would be that #2 is false because I think that Ren is free of phobias, or at least any that he would admit in such a forum.
As for #3, I am afraid it is true. It should be noted that he stated “grandparents’ house” and did not specify the person who directed he return the winnings. It might assist those close to us to know that he is referring to his paternal grandparents. ‘Nough said.

LOL, there’s just no way #2 can be true, so that’s my vote. And if it is, that’s just nutty….

(Stupid Pingbacks still not working, even though I actually fixed a problem and got them working for about a day.)

The answer is in the post, CinnaMemorLie.
