I just want to highlight a set of blog entries I found at Counting Calories where the interactive nutrition information from a few chain restaurant web sites have been compiled into lists so that they can be more easily perused to find good choices.
The Red Robin data is particularly useful to me as the original web site uses Flash and therefore doesn’t work on the iPhone.

Hilly – You’re most welcome. I have found that some restaurant web sites offer a PDF off their nutrition information, so I have started to bookmark those on my iPhone.

Considering that I regularly eat at both Wendy’s and Red Robin, this information is very helpful. Thank you for this.

martymankins – It’s difficult to have a low-calorie meal at Red Robin. At some places, I can just eat half of what they serve and save the rest for a later meal. But the portion sizes at Red Robin just aren’t quite large enough for that. I guess they have a high caloric density. 🙂
Wendy’s, on the other hand, has lots of good choices. I’ve had mixed results with the baked potato with just butter (I don’t like sour cream), but the grilled chicken sandwich is pretty good. Even the small chili isn’t too high in calories. Plus, a Jr. Frosty is only 160 calories!

I have started going back to Wendy’s a few months ago since I had heard their service was better. And I’ve been pleased with their value choices. Salad and potatoes (I do like sour cream) are nice and filling. As is the Jr. Frosty.

The more I eat, the less I want to know how much more I’m eating.
