Wow, what a great day!
Great food and great company
Great sights and great times.

As you may have guessed,
It’s time for a summary
Given as Haiku.

the Zia diner.

Marty and Reba
came along with Wayne and me.

One of the best I have had.

Photo-tourism
was my agenda du jour,
with our without them.

Santuario
de Guadalupe
was first
on my photo tour.

Time for us to part.
Back to the hotel for them.
More photos for me.

But first, a detour.
A chance for Karl to get his
camera returned.

Luckily for me,
Karl was with other bloggers.
One… two.. three… four more!

Diana, Sarah,
NYC Watchdog, Poppy,
Karl and I – the group.

Cross of the Martyrs
Was our first destination,
Up on a hill top.

An unfortunate
lack of sunscreen was the bane
of many of us.

To the top we went,
cameras clicking often
by each person there.

With gorgeous weather
We ascended to the crest
And took in the view.

Back at The Plaza,
It was time for a small snack.
A few had ice cream.

But the real winner
was a veggie fajita:
Chile Relleno!

Joined along the way
By Robin (bellaventa),
Bringing us to six.

Time to continue,
With Poppy and Dawg in front —
Such a good couple.

A double spiral.

Legend describes a

And no support poles.

Back to the hotel
Did most of the group proceed,
Leaving just Sarah,

To continue on
To the San Miguel Mission,

Still holds Sunday mass.

With the city tour
complete, it was time to head
to TequilaCon!

Wow. That Haiku effort can only be described as… well, Wayne-like. Great photos, too.

I am not missing this next year, you guys did a great job of making those of us who didn’t go bask in regret.

Incidentally, my brother’s name is Zia. I didn’t know he had a diner in NM. Huh, the things you find out on the Internet.

Faiqa – So then I can expect awesome green chile topped breakfast burritos when I visit Florida? Oh, wait, I have no idea if your brother is there, too….

The charming and always hawt WHALL beat me to this one, dammit! I never could do Haiku, I’m very impressed. Your photography is amazing, really.

Faiqa, you’d better start working out the child-care arrangements NOW for next year’s event. It is so much fun to meet-up with these people you’ve known through blogging, and then meeting new people (for me) I’ve never read before. Ren, you’re awesome! I’m so happy to have met you.

Geeky Tai-Tai – Thank you so much. As I was composing it I couldn’t help but think that I was spending way more time on it than the likely accumulated time of everyone who would read it. But your and Wayne’s comments make it all worthwhile. 🙂

So glad to have met you as well, and that we got to hang out some during the daytime as well.

I feel so creatively pathetic in comparison of this masterpiece.

    That cinches it.

Next year I will write my recaps as a ballad.

ConFab is one I can’t do. Too close to another trip I am taking (Grand Canyon with my daughter). Dave Lake City 3 is the next one I know of, and I don’t even have to travel for that one. Depeche Mode concert on Aug 25th here.

Avitaween is one I would like to go to. That would be cool. I may be able to pull that one off.

TC10 is a must attend, regardless where it is. I have almost a year to save up.
