Amazing that mine also references golf…

I don’t jump on meme bandwagons very often, but this one I saw on philosulfur‘s blog piqued my interest.

  1. Grab the nearest book.
  2. Open it to page 56.
  3. Find the fifth sentence.
  4. Post the text of the sentence in your journal along with these instructions.
  5. Don’t dig for your favorite book, the cool book, or the intellectual one: pick the CLOSEST.

“The recreation area has both a kids’ pool and a putting green.”

(We’ve been planning or Disney World vacation for later this month.)

Wow, this confirms what I thought all along: golf is the center of the universe. If I were a Greek philosopher, I’d say the universe is made of golf. Although what would truly confirm this theory would be if Wayne tried this experiment, and it also referred to golf.

I’m suprised it wasn’t something about cycling! 🙂

Now I’ve got to go give this meme a try. Thanks for sharing – I’ll link back to yours!

I should totally do this one day when I have nothing to blog about. I fear that I may pick out the wrong book and get a “hubba hubba” post though. 😉

Ben, the lack of a golf reference in Wayne’s result is probably just evidence that he lives in his own universe. It’s patently clear that this one is golf.

Giggle Pixie, I really need to show your name to my daughter — she uses MerPixie for some things. Thanks for the link back.

whall, see my response to Ben.

Hilly, I don’t think “fear” is the correct verb, since a “hubba hubba” post would probably be the most entertaining. 🙂

:-), agreed. I was expecting to be blown away by his result, but I think I probably wasn’t because I’m not living in his Universe. Wonder what his universe is made of?

whall: ah, ok, I wondered why I did that suddenly for no reason! Hard to believe I could survive in a Universe not made of golf, if even for a second!

Hmm… looks like CommentLuv didn’t actually grab whall’s latest post. I wonder what’s up with that? Must be a universe incompatibility issue.

Also seems to be missing apostrophes, though I don’t recall noticing that before….

Hahahaha …. I’m either laughing at your comment (which was very funny), or Wayne just blew me away in his Universe.
